Working at and above state standards, my Seventh Grade Drama course works with all state Essential Academic Learning Requirements (EALR) for the 7th and 8th grade level. The following units are studied: 1) Arts in the World, 2) Playwriting (in partnership with the Young Playwrights Program at ACT Theatre), 3) Play Production, 4) The One-Act-Play Festival (interdisciplinary work with the Seventh Grade Music and Art Courses taught by by colleagues), 5)Introduction to Debate, 6) Introduction to Shakespeare, 7) Advanced Acting Techniques, 8) Introduction to Improvisation.
