Working at state standards, my Sixth Grade Social Studies course works with all state Essential Academic Learning Requirements (EALR) and Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for the 6th grade level. The following units are studied: 1) Global Geography, 2) Introduction to Academic Writing, 3) Introduction to Mesopotamia, 4) Introduction to Ancient Egypt, 5) Introduction to Ancient China, 6) Introduction to Ancient India, 7) World Religions, 8) Country Project, 9) Fair Trade Chocolate and Social Issues.
