GENERAL EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY STATEMENT

I am passionate about excellent education. Through embracing diversity and offering a challenging education that empowers students, I am committed to the intellectual and personal development of each of my students. I drive myself to continually improve and seek new challenges to do so. As a life long learner, I seek to develop my own understanding of my content, of educational theory, and perfect the practical application of those two academic ideals. Basing my teaching in respect, I believe that every student deserves more than a chance to shine; I believe that every student, willing to put in the effort, deserves the fulfillment of that promise. Educators have the obligation to fulfill the promise of knowledge and the transference of skills. This knowledge base and accompanying skills ought to prepare students for an active and global life as a citizen of the world.
